- Create account in the program’s data portal, upload credentials and insurance certificates.
- Your application is checked for completeness. If more is needed, we will contact you.

Get an EPA WaterSense labeled home for water-efficiency and helping save water.
WaterSense labeled homes are third-party certified to meet EPA’s WaterSense for homes efficiency and performance criteria by an EPA approved Home Certification Organization (HCO). HCO WaterSense programs include at least:
- training, credentialling, and approving of home verifiers, and
- a system for validating a property’s WaterSense conformance.
The Green Builder Coalition (GBC) is an approved EPA WaterSense HCO.
Process:
- Builders interested in building homes to the WaterSense specification and getting the WaterSense label must become EPA WaterSense partners.
- After becoming an EPA WaterSense partner, Builders contract directly with an approved verifier to have their property validated as meeting WaterSense requirements.
- Verifiers present their findings to the GBC’s Program’s quality control and review.
- If verifier’s findings are accepted, GBC issues a WaterSense certificate of conformity, and the builder may label the conforming property.
